Nakama Promoted To UW Baseball Associate Head Coach

SEATTLE – Dave Nakama, who has been a member of the Washington baseball coaching staff the last two seasons, has been promoted to associate head coach, Lindsay Meggs announced today.

“I’m very pleased to announce that Dave Nakama has been promoted to the position of associate head coach at the University of Washington,” Meggs, the UW’s third-year head coach, said. “Even though Dave’s primary responsibility has been to coordinate our recruiting, he has contributed across the board in every way possible as we continue to build this program. Tulane’s Jake Gautreau Moves to Recruiting Coordinator

NEW ORLEANS – On Friday, September 2, Tulane head baseball coach Rick Jones announced that current assistant coach Jake Gautreau has assumed the role of recruiting coordinator for the program, which became effective June 15, 2011. Justin Haywood added to Marist Coaching Staff

POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. — Justin Haywood has been hired as an assistant coach with the Marist baseball program. Haywood’s on-field responsibilities include working with the team’s catchers and hitters.

“We are excited to have Justin become our newest member of the Marist Family,” Head Coach Chris Tracz said. “He brings an energy and passion that is infectious. Kyle Padgett added to Duke Coaching Staff

DURHAM, N.C. – Kyle Padgett, a former standout at William & Mary and a 2005 MLB draft selection, has joined the Duke baseball staff as an assistant coach, head coach Sean McNally announced on Wednesday.

With the Blue Devils, Padgett will coach the catchers and assist with the hitters. He will also coordinate all Duke Baseball Academy operations.
