“We are excited about our 2012 schedule and the amount of home games we have in particular. We really want to make an effort to defend our home field and make it a tough place for our opponents to play. With our continued facility improvements, we will also make the Bud a place where our fans can enjoy the atmosphere as well as the spirited play of our ball club. We should be able to get off to a great start with the early home schedule. We are excited about playing VMI at War Memorial Stadium in Hampton and I want to thank Henry and Hank Morgan and the Peninsula Pilots for partnering with us on this opportunity to spread the Monarch Blue to the peninsula. We will continue to work hard in the future on getting quality opponents back to Norfolk such as Virginia, NC State and ECU. We want our fans to see us compete against the best.” – ODU head baseball coach Chris Finwood.
