Long Beach State releases 2012 Schedule

The Long Beach State Dirtbags released their 2012 schedule yesterday. They will open up the season when CAA member Virginia Commonwealth makes the trip across the country to take on Long Beach State on February 17th-19th. After a mid-week home game against area rival USC, they will take on 2011 CWS participant Cal on Feb. 24th-26th. The Dirtbags will head on the road for a mid-week game at UCLA on Feb. 28th before heading to Oregon to start a three game set on March 2nd. They will round out the home part of their out of conference weekend schedule the following weekend when Arizona State visits for three games from March 9th-11th.. 

The Dirtbags will face off against their first Big West opponent on March 16th-18th when they visit Cal-State Fullerton in a three game non-conference series. The following weekend they head to the midwest to take on Wichita State on March 23rd-25th.

They will head on the road for their first conference series against Cal Poly (March 30th-April 1st). They will also visit UC-Riverside (April 5th-7th), Cal State Northridge (April 27th-29th), and UC-Davis (May 11th-13th).

Long Beach State will host their first Big West conference series on April 13th-15th when UC Santa Barbara visits town. They will also host UC Irvine (April 20th-22nd), Loyola-Marymount (May 5th, 7th, road game on 6th), Pacific (May 18th-20th), and Cal-State Fullerton will play their conference series on May 25th-27th.
