Stefan Sabol set to leave Oregon

Oregon catcher/outfielder Stefan Sabol will be transferring to a junior college according to a report from Baseball America. Sabol appeared in 39 games last season with the Ducks hitting .254 with a homer and 15 RBI during his freshman campaign. He has been spending this summer with the Cotuit Kettleers in the Cape Cod Baseball League.  He has appeared in 22 games with a .300 average with five RBI.

This news is not the greatest for the Ducks as Sabol was expected to be a key contributor for the 2012 season after being selected in the 17th round of the 2010 MLB Draft out of high school. Sabol is expected to transfer to a junior college which will make him eligible for the 2012 MLB Draft. We have included his scouting report from MLB.com below and a video from his high school days.
