NCBWA Announces Finalist For 2011 Stopper of the Year Award

Wichita, Kan. (NCBWA) — Five of college baseball’s top relief specialists have been selected as finalists for the seventh annual National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association Stopper of the Year Award, the NCBWA announced Tuesday.
This year’s finalists include NCAA saves leaders Kyle McMillen of Kent State and Bo Reeder of East Tennessee State, along with Branden Kline of Virginia, Corey Knebel of Texas and Matt Price of South Carolina.

2011 Super Regionals Hosts Announced

INDIANAPOLIS—The eight super-regional hosts were announced today by the NCAA Division I Baseball Committee.
A minimum of 45 hours of super-regional television will be provided by family of ESPN channels, ESPN, ESPN2 and ESPNU. Consult local listings for specific games shown in each area of the country. CLEMSON, S.C. – With a 14-1 win over Clemson on Monday night in the 2011 NCAA Clemson Regional Championship the Huskies now advance to the Super Regional where they will face South Carolina in Columbia beginning on Saturday, June 11.
Tonight’s win marks the fourth-straight victory for the Huskies in NCAA Tournament action as they improve to 45-18-1 on the year. The Super Regional will consist of a best-of-three series with the winner moving on to the College World Series in Omaha.
