Brewster Whitecaps 2 Chatham Anglers 1

The Brewster Whitecaps picked up a 2-1 win over the Chatham Anglers as Georgia Tech’s Luke Bard pitched six shutout innings to pick up the win. He struggled with his control as he walked five batters while only striking out eight batters. Baylor’s Max Garner got the save pitching the final two innings giving up a run. Clemson’s Dominic Leone was tagged with the loss after giving up a run on eight hits in six innings of work. Tennessee OF Andrew Toles led the offense for the Whitecaps by going 3-4 with a run scored.

Falmouth Commodores 2 Yarmouth-Dennis Red Sox 1

The Falmouth Commodores scored single runs in the seventh and ninth innings to erase a 1-0 lead and pick up the 2-1 win over the Yarmouth-Dennis Red Sox. TCU Kyle VonTungein went 3-5 with a run scored while Oregon’s Jack Marder went 3-4 with 2 RBI to lead the Commodores offense. Yarmouth-Dennis was led by Florida State’s James Ramsey who went 2-3 with a solo homer.

Bourne Braves 3 Orleans Firebirds 0

LSU’s Ryan Eades pitched six shutout innings giving up two hits while only walking one batter and striking ou four to pick up the win for the Bourne Braves 3-0 over Orleans. Florida Atlantic’s R.J. Alvarez picked up the save in relief by pitching a perfect ninth inning striking out two batters. Orleans starting pitcher Tyler Gebler (Rutgers) was tabbed with the loss by pitching 4.1 innings giving up three runs (two earned) on seven hits.

Cotuit Kettleers 3 Hyannis Harbor Hawks 1

The Cotuit Kettleers picked up a 3-1 win over the Hyannis Harbor Hawks by receiving a solid pitching performance from RJ Fondon who went six innings giving up one run on seven hits and a walk while striking out six batters. Ole Miss RHP Bobby Wahl got the save giving up one hit in the final two innings while Pepperdine’s Jon Moscot was given the loss by giving up three runs on nine hits in only six innings of work.
