Cal State Fullerton is set to name current UCLA assistant coach Rick Vanderhook according to sources close to the program. Before going to UCLA to become an assistant coach for the last three seasons, he spent 21 years as an assistant at Cal State Fullerton under Augie Garrido and George Horton.Â
Vanderhook was one of the top candidates for the position back in 2007 when Dave Serrano got the position. It should be interesting to see how he does with the program in his first collegiate head coaching job.
