Here is your 2011 NCAA Corvallis Regional Day 3 Recap.

Georgia 5 Creighton 4 (11 innings)

CORVALLIS, ORE. — Georgia stormed back to eliminate 25th-ranked Creighton 5-4 in 11 innings Sunday to advance to the regional championship round of the NCAA Corvallis Regional at Goss Stadium.

Freshman Brandon Stephens’ RBI-single provided a walk-off victory as Peter Verdin scored from second after reaching on a two-out single and moved in to scoring position on a stolen base. Georgia (33-31) picked a nice time to win its first extra-inning game of the year in three attempts while the Bluejays (45-16) fell to 5-1 in extra innings. The Bulldogs improved to 17-19 against ranked teams this year and staved off elimination once again. With their season on the line, Georgia is now 5-1, the lone defeat coming in the SEC Tournament semifinals.

Oregon State 6 Georgia 4

CORVALLIS, Ore. – The Beavers are back in an NCAA Super Regional for the first time since 2007.

Jake Rodriguez went 3-for-3 and Tony Bryant shut down Georgia in the ninth after a 21-minute light delay to give the Beavers the Corvallis Regional championship with a 6-4 victory Sunday night at Goss Stadium.

Barring unforeseen circumstances with Hawkins Field, Vanderbilt’s home field, the Beavers will travel to Nashville, Tenn., next weekend for their first super regional since 2007 and first ever away from Goss Stadium. The NCAA will announce the official starting dates – either Friday or Saturday – for each of the eight super regionals Monday night after all regional games are completed.
