The frustrating season has continued for us Leathernecks. After a series split with Summit League powerhouse Oral Roberts, we traveled to Oakland University and lost three of four. Inconsistency and lack of intensity throughout a full nine innings of play seems to be our Achilles heel. If we are going to pull this season around we need to take every aspect of the game head on, and take them one step at a time. That means we need to play each and every game from here on out one pitch at a time, one out at a time, and one inning at a time. If we cannot do that then our frustrations are destined to continue.

This weekend we travel to Southern Utah to take on the Thunderbirds. We are all looking forward to putting last weekend behind us and hopefully turning the season around. However, like any team in the Summit League, the Thunderbirds are not going to simply roll over and let us beat them, it is going to be another tough series for us, a series that will surely be a battle right down until the last pitch is thrown.
