Fresno St(11-2) and TCU(10-5) continue to flip flop #1 and #2. Week 4 Fresno St jumps back to #1 after a 3-1 week where they beat #20 Cal St Bakersfield mid week before taking 2 of 3 at Nebraska. TCU drops back to #2 after also going 3-1, picking up a mid week win vs UTA and taking 2 of 3 from Houston Baptist. One of the more shocking results of the week, and there were no shortage of them, was previously winless Houston Baptist(0-13) beating TCU and Matt Purke 7-4 on Saturday. Here is your ACC Recap for March 12th.
#5 Florida State 15 Boston College 6
TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – Through 15 games the fifth-ranked Florida State baseball team has established a stubborn streak at the plate, which continues to serve the Seminoles well.
The Seminoles scored 11 runs with two outs Saturday night, continuing a season-long trend, in their 15-6 victory over Boston College.
Sherman Johnson, Rafael Lopez and Taiwan Easterling each knocked out three hits as the Seminoles battered an overly-generous BC pitching staff for 15 hits on top of 13 walks. FSU’s first nine runs came across with two outs in the book, including all six in a second inning that shaped the longest game of the season.

Dodgertown Classic
#11 UCLA has dropped consecutive weekend series’ to San Jose State and Nebraska, and hopes to turn it around this weekend. St. Mary’s (CA) and Georgia travel to Los Angeles to participate in the series. It would have been great to see UCLA and St. Mary’s face off on Friday, as we would have seen Gerrit Cole go head to head with Mark Anderson, who has had consecutive stellar outings against Oregon and UC-Irvine, throwing a complete game shutout against the previously unbeaten Anteaters.
