Hello no way cal state Fullerton is not a national seed you guys are way off the TITANS should have a super regional at home cause they’ll be winning their 5th national championship 2011 get or right please!!

Brian Foley March 9, 2011 - 4:10 pm

Lets see how they do in the next four games before we say that….The last spot was between Fullerton and TCU….

BNut March 9, 2011 - 5:01 pm

And CSUF beat TCU 2 out of 3! So your point is what?

Brian Foley March 9, 2011 - 5:05 pm

It really was a tossup between those two schools. I just give TCU the nod since that Fullerton series didn’t have Matt Purke pitching.

Bnut March 9, 2011 - 6:26 pm

Remember what Fullerton did to Purke last year in Fullerton? The bullpen is the difference between CSUF and TCU plus I was not impressed with their offense at all. They also tried to play small ball and could not get a bunt down…They have some great arms but faced Noe with his C game not his A game!

cal state will be lucky to get in at all much less be a national seed…

Just like in the basketball bracketology, who are your the next four in? last four in?

Brian Foley March 9, 2011 - 4:22 pm

Lets be honest here….Miami will probably be in the bracket once June rolls around but they are not eligible for the postseason being sub .500. They need to turn it around. nnLast Four InnUCFnStetsonnMIssissippi StatenJacksonvillennLast Four outnMaryland (just need to play better on the weekends)nPitt (non-conference schedule is TERRIBLE will kill RPI)nDuke (same as Pitt)nPurduenn

What will it take for Vanderbilt and Louisville to not be in a regional together when one hosts and the other doesn’t? Are we just sporting cousins for life?

Brian Foley March 9, 2011 - 7:29 pm

Vandy and Louisville both would need to host to miss each other.

6-4-3 March 9, 2011 - 7:43 pm

Brian,nThis time of year go a little more on sight and not just current RPI, which fluctuates wildly this early. Sam Houston has beaten Nebraska twice, dominating game one, shut out Rice, beat Tulane in New Orleans (and easily could have won all 3 losing two 3-2 games giving up the lead in the 8th both times. And are on a 10 game win streak.

Where did all your love for SOCON go?? :)nn

LOL how can you not have southeastern louisiana in this?

brandon March 10, 2011 - 1:28 pm

Just keep an eye out for UNC-Wilomington. They will be the surprise team of the year.

Cokehombre March 10, 2011 - 7:52 pm

Wouldn’t Fullerton get the last national seed over TCU since they beat TCU 2 out of 3 in Texas? Also, no way Long Beach makes a regional if they don’t start scoring runs. They’ve scored 36 runs in 12 games, and almost half of those runs came in two games. Factor in they are only 6-6 with 11 out of 12 played at home, and they have a lot of work to do.

TXST with a current RPI of 14 (Nolan) and UTs being 90, Ole Miss @ 7 and Army @ 210, how can you place UT first in that regional? And why does TXST always get stuck in the Austin Regional anyway? IF TXST happens to beat UT or have a higher rating at the end of the year why does UT get the regional? (don’t tell me history cause I’ll vomit)

Brian Foley March 14, 2011 - 6:51 am

RPI isn’t everything…we will be using RPI more and more especially since many conferences start up this weekendrnSent on the Sprintu00ae Now Network from my BlackBerryu00ae
