Here is your Big 12 recap for Saturday, February 19.

Nebraska 8 (1-1) Air Force 1 (0-2)

Box Score

• Freshman Jon Keller (1-0) picked up the win in his first career start for Nebraska, allowing only three hits and striking out six.
• SS Chad Christensen connected on his first home run of the year in the eighth inning.
• Christensen, Kale Kiser, and Cory Burleson all had two hits in the contest.

Nebraska 10 (2-1) Washington 3 (1-1)

Box Score

• Sophomore LF Kash Kalkowski hit a grand slam in his fifth career at bat for the Huskers.
• Sophomore Tom Lemke (1-0) picked up the win, allowing two runs on six hits over 5 2/3 innings pitched.
• SS Chad Christensen led the Huskers with three hits, five on the day, followed by Cody Asche and Kurt Farmer who were both 2-3 on the day.

Maryland 10 (1-1) No. 6 Texas 1 (1-1)

Box Score

• Senior Cole Green (0-1) had a tough day, allowing seven runs on six hits over only four innings of work.
• Freshmen Erich Weiss and Jacob Felts each collected a pair of hits for the Longhorns.
• Junior SS Brandon Loy had an uncharacteristic two errors in the field.

No. 6 Texas 7 (2-1) Maryland 4 (1-2)

Box Score

• Texas trailed 4-1 going into the seventh inning, but scored one in the seventh and five in the eighth to take their first lead of the day.
• The Longhorns’ bullpen held Maryland scoreless in 3 1/3 innings. Andrew McKirihan (1-0) picked up the win, while Stayton Thomas was credited with the save.
• Junior Brandon Loy, and freshmen Erich Weiss and Mark Payton all collected a pair of hits. Weiss has three consecutive multi-hit games to start his career, going 7-8 at the plate with three walks.

Southern Cal 9 (1-0) Missouri 3 (1-1)

Box Score

• Missouri starter Rob Zastryzny (0-1) had a rough day, allowing five runs over 4.1 innings.
• RF Jonah Schmidt and LF Blake Brown each collected a pair of hits for the Tigers.
• After two games, SS Jesse Santo is tied for seventh in the Big 12 with a .500 batting average, while Blake Brown is tied for second at .667.

No. 5 Oklahoma 9 (2-0) William and Mary 6 (0-2)

Box Score

• Junior 3B Garrett Buechele picked up his second home run in as many games.
• LF Eric Ross was 3-4 with two runs and an RBI
• Sophomore Jack Mayfield played the first six innings at shortstop before moving to the mound for the final 2 2/3 innings, picking up the save.

No. 5 Oklahoma 13 (3-0) William and Mary 4 (0-3)

Box Score

• Oklahoma scored all their runs in the final four innings of the game.
• Garrett Buechele made it three home runs in three games. Buechele is the only player in the Big 12 with more than one home run.
• RF Cody Reine picked up three RBI on three hits. Reine is one of five Sooners batting .500 or better.

Oklahoma State 13 (2-0) Bryant 0 (0-2)

Box Score

• Oklahoma State picked up their second consecutive shutout over Bryant. The Cowboys lead the Big 12 with a 0.00 ERA. Their .382 batting average is also tops in the conference.
• Seven Cowboys had multiple hits today, led by sophomore C Dane Phillips’ four.
• Starter Andrew Heaney (1-0) allowed only two hits and struck out eight batters over seven innings.

No. 16 Texas A&M 10 (2-0) LeMoyne 2 (0-2)

Box Score

• LF Brandon Wood, CF Krey Bratsen, and 2B Andrew Collazo each collected three hits on the day.
• Sophomore starter Michael Wacha (1-0) shut out LeMoyne, allowing only five hits over six innings, with seven strikeouts.
• The Aggies collected three triples on the day, tying them for the conference lead with Oklahoma State.

Baylor 9 (1-1) Oral Roberts 4 (1-1)

Box Score

• Junior OF/P Brooks Pinckard sparked the Bears in the seventh with a first-pitch leadoff home run. The Bears added four more runs before Pinckard took to the mound to pitch two scoreless frames to end the game.
• Pinckard, C Josh Ludy, and DH Joey Hainsfurther each had two hits apiece. Hainsfurther and 3B Jake Miller each had two RBI.

No. 1 TCU 7 (2-0) Kansas 1 (0-2)

Box Score

• Kansas only managed one hit on the day. The Jayhawks .105 batting average is last in the league.
• SS Brandon Macias picked up the lone hit, a fourth inning single that scored the only run of the game for Kansas.

Texas Tech 6 (2-0) Northwestern 1(1-2)

Box Score

• Texas Tech LHP Robbie Kilcrease (1-0) allowed only one run and four hits in seven innings, picking up four strikeouts. Kilcrease sat out 2010 after Tommy John surgery.
• SS Kelby Tomlinson was 2-3 with one runs and two RBI. Tomlinson added a sacrifice fly and stole two bases.
• The Red Raider pitching staff allowed only five base runners in the game.

Texas Tech 6 (3-0) Utah Valley 2 (1-2)

Box Score

• 2B Nick Popescu was 3-5 with two runs and an RBI. The senior also added a double and stolen base to pace the Texas Tech hitters.
• The Red Raider pitching staff has allowed two earned runs over their first three games, much improved over last year’s staff that finished with a 6.70 ERA.
• Sophomore Jamen Parten (1-0) struck out four and gave up one run on four hits over five innings in his debut in red and black.
• Texas Tech stole five bases against Utah Valley. The Red Raiders lead the Big 12 with 13 stolen bases over the first two days of the season.
• DH/LF Scott LeJeune was announced to be out indefinitely. LeJeune led the Big 12 with 28 doubles in 2010, but was 0-4 in his season debut, and did not play either game today.

Kansas State 5 (1-0) Pacific 3 (0-1)

Box Score

• Reliever Evan Marshall (1-0) picked up the win after 3 2/3 innings of one-hit ball to end the game.
• SS Tanner Witt and CF Jared King each collected two hits to lead the Wildcats.
• 3B Jason King returned to action and picked up a hit in his first game since 2009. King sat out 2010 with an injury.

Kansas State 7 (2-0) Pacific 4 (0-2)

Box Score

• Junior OF Nick Martini collected his first hit of the season after seven unsuccessful at bats. Martini led the Big 12 with a .416 average in 2010.
• 1B Wade Hinkle was 3-4, leading the Wildcats. RF Kent Urban led the team with three RBI
• Starter Matt Applegate (1-0) allowed five hits and four runs in 6 2/3 innings. James Allen struck out three of the five batters he faced, picking up the save.
