The Charlotte 49ers dominated the Atlantic 10 conference in 2010 by winning the regular season title with a 20-7 conference record. Xavier finished two games back with a 18-9 record while Rhode Island finished in third place at 17-10. St. Louis and Fordham tied for fourth place with 15-12 records. George Washington and LaSalle tied for sixth with 14-13 records. Umass and St. Joe’s tied for eighth place at 13-14 while Dayton finished in tenth place at 12-15. Richmond, Duquesne, and Temple finished in a tie for eleventh at 10-17 while St. Bonaventure finished last at 8-19.

The 2011 Atlantic 10 postseason tournament saw the top six squads play in a round-robin tournament in Camden, New Jersey. Number 5 seed Saint Louis would surprise all the squads by running through the tournament with a perfect 4-0 record to receive the conference’s only NCAA bid. St. Louis was sent to the Louisville (KY) regional where they would lose to the host Cardinals in their opener 11-2 before being eliminated by Illinois State 8-3.
