2011 Dairy Queen Classic moved to Arizona

The Dairy Queen Classic featuring Minnesota, South Alabama, Oklahoma State, and Washington State will be moved to Tucson, Arizona according to Washington State head coach Donnie Marbut. The tournament had to be moved to Arizona after the Metrodome collapsed on December 12th after a heavy snowstorm.

This is a key move to make sure all the squads get in the games scheduled and there is no major inconvenience with the teams having an open weekend for RPI and strength of schedule. There hasn’t been an official announcement if Dairy Queen will continue as the title sponsor of the event.
