South Carolina LHP Wes Cook will not be a member of the baseball team in 2011 after failing to meet academic standards to be eligible for the spring semester. He was a incoming transfer from Central Alabama Junior College where he went 8-3 with a 3.49 ERA and 108 strikeouts in 111 innings last season while as a freshman went 10-0 while averaging 7.6 strikeouts per nine innings. He will instead be transferring to Auburn University Montgomery to continue his baseball career. Cook Leaving South Carolina
