According to the Washington Examiner, the Georgetown baseball team is currently exploring moving home games to Alexandria, Virginia to play at The Four Mile Run complex. The school would design and build a “state-of-the-art” facility for both baseball and softball in return for a multi-year lease on the fields.
The new facility would open at the earliest in the 2013 season and would move the Hoyas from their current home at Shirley Povich Field which they have called home since the 2000. We have included a picture from Google Maps on the potential location below.
We will have more on this in the coming days. There is a public hearing on Monday in Alexandria Virginia where more details will be available.

Very cool! That field is where the old Alexandria Dukes used to play. They turned into the Potomac Nationals and moved about 30 miles south.nnGeorge Washington plays their home games right around the corner, at Barcroft park on the other side of the 4 mile run river.nnCora Kelly as it stands now has some rather large bleachers and is a big field (owing to its former professional-team hosting roots) but the neighborhood is a bit iffy and the field is in some disrepair.
According to my sources, George Washington was first approached about moving to this location,
