Hofstra Baseball Participates in Community Raking Day

On Saturday, November 13, members of the Hofstra Baseball and Wrestling teams participated in the Shake and Rake program, sponsored by the Office of Off-Campus Living and Commuting Student Services.

Over 40 student-athletes and coaches visited 13 homes in the Hempstead and Uniondale communities to provide yard work assistance to local residents. In total, approximately 60 students volunteered for the event, including members of Alpha Kappa Psi and Phi Delta Theta.

This was the first annual Shake and Rake event, and based on the positive feedback from both students and residents, this seems to be the start of a growing initiative for Hofstra University.
