WKUHumaneSocietyBOWLING GREEN, Ky. – The Western Kentucky University baseball team spent time giving back to the community earlier this fall, assisting as the Bowling Green/Warren County Humane Society held its fundraising telethon, Sept. 30 at Bowling Green Ballpark.

The entire team made a live appearance with animals from the humane society and talked to the community about raising money for the organization and the importance of having a good humane society in the community.

The Bowling Green Humane Society provides sheltering for over 6,000 homeless, lost, injured and abused animals each year and operates an emergency rescue service 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The society also has cats and dogs of all sizes and types available for adoption. They also seek to educate both children and adults on the responsible care and humane treatment of animals.
