Fordham joins URI to Raise Money for Autism

FROM CBB NEWS SOURCE

Autism Bronx, N.Y. – On Saturday, the Fordham Rams and Rhode Island Rams won’t be opponents on the baseball diamond, but will join forces in raising funds for the Autism Project of Rhode Island, as a part of the 2010 Walk for Autism Now event at Colt State Park in Rhode Island.

While the Rhode Island baseball team is participating in the Walk in Rhode Island at 10:30 AM on Saturday, the Fordham baseball team is raising funds based on its intra-squad scrimmage on Saturday, beginning at 11:30 AM, where position players will be sponsored based on base runners, while pitchers are sponsored upon the number of strikeouts during the game.

In all, the funds raised by both teams will be donated on behalf of Delaney Foster and URI Baseball.

If anyone would like to help the Rams baseball teams in this effort, please contact the Fordham baseball office at 718-817-4292 or at Ramsbaseball@fordham.edu.
