The Seattle Mariners fans are already looking forward to the 2011 MLB Draft as they are currently one game behind the Pittsburgh Pirates in the loss column and 5.5 games behind Baltimore for the worst record in the league. Larry Stone of the Seattle Times recently took a look at some of the best prospects for the 2011 MLB Draft and the consensus a couple of weeks ago was that Rice third baseman Anthony Rendon was the clear cut number 1 pick. (Full Player Profile on Rendon available here) Rendon went down injured on July 14th with multiple fractures in his right ankle which was his second straight year of having a major right ankle injury.
