Florida Gulf Coast expects a Strong 2011 Freshmen Class

FGCUPhoto Florida Gulf Coast head coach Dave Tollett will have his entire signing class come to Estero this season for the first time in four years. He expects the class to be ranked in the top 10 in the nation led by Sean Dwyer and Harrison Cooney. Dwyer is a 6’0 190 pound first baseman from Tavares High School and was selected in the 15th round by the San Diego Padres. He decided to spurn the offer and continue his baseball career with Florida Gulf Coast. Cooney is a 6’2 175 RHP from Vero Beach, Florida who picked the Florida Gulf Coast program over the likes of Miami (FL) and LSU.
