The Orleans Firebirds scored a single run in the top of the ninth inning to tie up the game at four and a single run in the tenth to pick up a 5-4 victory over the Brewster Whitecaps to advance in the Cape Cod Baseball League Playoffs. They will take on the Yarmouth-Dennis Red Sox in the next round.
The Orleans offense was led by Stony Brook’s Maxx Tissenbaum who went 3-4 with a walk. Bowling Green’s Jon Berti led the Brewster offensive attack by going 3-3 with a run scored.
