NECBL Playoffs Recap for August 6th

Here is your NECBL Playoffs Recap for August 6th.

Danbury Westerners 7 North Adams SteepleCats 6

The Danbury Westerners picked up a 7-6 victory over the North Adams SteepleCats with Alfredo Rodriguez (Maryland) hitting a sacrifice fly in the bottom of the ninth to score Brandon Boudreaux (Tulane) from third with the winning run. The victory by the Westerners forces a Game 3 which take place on Saturday night in North Adams between the same two teams.

The Danbury offense was led by Brandon Boudreaux who went 2-4 with three runs scored and an RBI while Dave Ciocchi (Binghamton) went 3-5 with two doubles and a run scored. Devin Shines (Oklahoma State) led the offense for the SteepleCats by going 2-3 with two runs scored and two walks.

The teams will be back in action on Saturday night with the winner going to the NECBL Championship Series.
