Army shortstop Clint Moore continues to impress scouts and coaches in the Cape Cod Baseball League as he is currently hitting .279 with a homer and 10 RBI in 20 games this summer. Moore took care of his summer military obligations during the last two summers giving him the opportunity to participate in the CCBL this year. He is an interesting case as he was by far the best shortstop I saw last year with his leadership skills on the field and his play on the diamond from turning a key double play or coming up with a big hit. He was named a finalist for the 2010 AAU Sullivan Award for the outstanding amateur athlete in the US based on the qualities of leadership, character, sportsmanship and the ideals of amateurism.
