Bayler Teal an inspiration for South Carolina

South Carolina Gamecocks logo South Carolina has dedicated their College World Series run to Bayler Teal, a 7-year old from Bishopsville who had been battling a rare form of cancer called Neuroblastoma. Teal lost his battle on Thursday night, and the Gamecocks are now regrettably now playing in his memory. Michael Roth, who hadn’t started a game all season, threw a complete game on Friday night against Clemson to survive another day, and was interviewed by ESPN postgame and spoke briefly about Bayler, having the letters BT on his cap.

Bayler’s family is currently making plans to attend the CWS Championship Series to support the Gamecocks.  Travis Haney of The Post and Courier has taken the initiative to raise money for the family to help with the expenses of going to Omaha and his full post can be checked out by clicking here.
