Arizona State 12 Hawaii 1

TEMPE, Ariz. – Zack MacPhee had four hits and Seth Blair threw seven strong innings as the No. 1 Arizona State University baseball team defeated Hawai’i 12-1 in Tempe Regional play on Saturday. A second consecutive sellout crowd saw the Sun Devils improve to 49-8 on the season with the win.

MacPhee went 4-for-5 and hit one of ASU’s four home runs on the night. Kole Calhoun, Deven Marrero and Raoul Torrez also hit home runs in the game, while MacPhee, Marrero and Johnny Ruettiger all had three RBI each.Riccio Torrez had three hits, and Ruettiger, Marrero and Austin Barnes added two hits apiece.

San Diego 22 Wisconsin-Milwaukee 1

TEMPE, Ariz. – Behind a dominating season-high 25-hit performance and a 4-for-6 and six RBI performance from Mike Ferraro, the 15th-ranked University of San Diego baseball team saved off elimination at the Tempe Regional with a 22-1 win over Milwaukee Saturday afternoon at Packard Stadium.

With the win, the Toreros improve to 37-21 overall and advance on to another elimination game on Sunday at 1 p.m. against the loser of the Hawaii and Arizona State game this evening. With the loss, the Panthers conclude the season with a 33-26 overall record.
