MTSU’s Brentz to miss 3 Weeks

BryceBrentzMTSU According to a report by Aaron Fitt of Baseball America, Bryce Brentz will miss the next 2-3 weeks with a fracture in his right ankle. He substained the injury during warmups last week for a game on Friday against South Alabama. He will not be traveling with the team this weekend to Florida Atlantic as he will stay in Murfreesboro to get treatment.

This injury is tough news for Middle Tennessee State as they were expected to compete for the Sun Belt title this year but have gotten off to a 5-4 conference mark. If the Blue Raiders are going to win the Sun Belt this season, it will be on the back of Brentz’s bat and his pitching.
