HCMeeting WORCESTER, Mass. – On Saturday, April 3, the Holy Cross men’s baseball program will host “Armed Services Day” at Fitton Field during its game versus Army at 12:00 p.m. The event is being held to honor those from the Holy Cross community who have served in the Armed Forces.

"The entire Holy Cross Baseball family is honored to host its first ever Armed Services Day at Fitton Field,” said head coach Greg DiCenzo. “We feel incredibly passionate about supporting our servicemen and women and hope that this day enables many of our players, fans, and alumni to reflect on those serving our nation."

During the game, the team will be donning special edition Holy Cross camouflage hats. The hats will also be sold throughout the game with all proceeds going to the Home Base Program. The Home Base Program is a partnership between the Boston Red Sox Foundation and Massachusetts General Hospital that is dedicated to improving the lives of veterans who have been exposed to combat-related stress after being deployed to Iraq or Afghanistan.

The special edition camouflage hats will be on sale by the media press box throughout Saturday’s contest. Donations for the Home Base Program will be accepted during the game as well.
