#4 LSU 13 Binghamton 7

BATON ROUGE, La. – A seven-run eighth inning by LSU erased a 7-6 deficit and powered the fourth-ranked Tigers to a 13-7 win over Binghamton Wednesday night in Alex Box Stadium.

The Tigers (21-3) captured their seventh straight victory and their 17th-straight regular-season win over a non-conference opponent dating back to last season. Binghamton dropped to 6-11 with the loss.

#10 Arkansas 9 Centenary 4

FAYETTEVILLE – The No. 10 University of Arkansas baseball team completed a midweek sweep of Centenary with a 9-4 win Wednesday afternoon at Baum Stadium. The Razorbacks fell behind by four runs early on but rallied for the club’s seventh consecutive victory, tying the longest streak of the season. James McCann tied a career-high with three hits to go along with a two runs scored and an RBI against the Gents. Brett Eibner was 2-for-4 at the plate with a home run and a team-high three RBI. Eight of Arkansas’ 12 hits went for extra bases.

"I knew today would be a dog fight," head coach Dave Van Horn said. "Whenever you score as many runs as we did yesterday with things going our way, you know you’re going to have a battle on your hands."

#18 Vanderbilt 10 Wofford 7

NASHVILLE— Vanderbilt used a four-run first and a five-run fourth to get past Wofford 10-7 Wednesday night at Hawkins Field.

The Commodores won their eighth straight game (7-0 on home stand) to move to 23-4 overall, while the Terriers fell to 8-17.

“I thought we had 10 at bats where mentally we weren’t as locked in as we needed to be and didn’t expand the lead like I thought we were capable of doing,” said Vanderbilt head coach Tim Corbin. “You have to give them some credit as well. Their pitchers did a good job of limiting our at-bats and they were tough to put away at the plate tonight, especially with two outs.”

#25 Western Kentucky 6 #30 Kentucky 3

LEXINGTON, Ky. – The 18th-ranked WKU Hilltoppers used a pair of runs in the sixth and seventh innings to erase a one-run Kentucky lead en route to their 12th comeback win of the season, 6-3, over #30 Kentucky in Lexington. The win was WKU’s eighth-straight overall and ninth-straight road triumph. The Hilltoppers have won 12 of their last 13 games and sit at 21-5 overall. Kentucky drops to 17-9 with the loss.

WKU has now beat its Bluegrass arch-rival two times in a row for the first time since sweeping the 2003 season series. The Hilltoppers also improve their record against the Southeastern Conference to 3-2 on the year and have defeated three ranked opponents already in 2010.

UAB 6 #29 Alabama 4

HOOVER, Ala. — Behind a career-high three hits from freshman catcher Harry Clark, the UAB baseball team downed No. 23 Alabama, 6-4, at Regions Park on Wednesday night.

Clark also finished with a pair of RBI as the Blazers won for the seventh time in the past eight games to improve to 15-8 on the season. Alabama, on the other hand, fell for the sixth time in the past seven games to drop to 17-7.

Troy 5 Auburn 4

Troy senior Shohei Fujita has a knack for coming through in the clutch, and he delivered again on Wednesday night with a two-out run-scoring single in the eighth inning to lift the Trojans to a 5-4 victory over Auburn.

The Trojans improved to 13-11 overall with their fifth consecutive win, this one coming in front of a Riddle-Pace Field record crowd of 2,586. Auburn falls to 17-8 with the loss.

Tennessee 25 Presbyterian 6

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – The University of Tennessee baseball team scored at least two runs in every inning it came to bat and had five different players hit home runs as it defeated Presbyterian College, 25-6, Wednesday night at Lindsey Nelson Stadium in Knoxville. All nine Volunteer starters had at least one hit and scored a run in the contest, as UT tallied its eighth-highest single-game run total in school history.

"Obviously, we swung the bats well tonight," UT Head Coach Todd Raleigh said. "I think we’re in a good place right now offensively going back to the last two games against LSU. We got some guys going and I think we’re doing a better job of seeing the ball.
