Texas State and Lamar to face off in Key SLC Series

TexasStateBaseball The big series this weekend in the Southland Conference features the Lamar Cardinals traveling to San Marcos to take on the Texas State Bobcats. Lamar enters the series with a 15-6 overall record while being 2-4 in Southland Conference play as they lost two out of three to Central Arkansas and Nicholls State back to back weekend. They still feature a strong weekend rotation headlined by Matison Smith (3-1, 2.86 ERA) and Eric Harrington (3-0, 4.50 ERA). Texas State will come into the series with an 11-8 record while being 4-2 in the Southland Conference. They won two out of three games against both Texas A&M Corpus Christi and Sam Houston State the last two weekends to get of to a good start.
