Here is your ACC Recap for March 24th.

#3 Georgia Tech 19 Mercer 4

MarquisUMD ATLANTA – The third-ranked Georgia Tech baseball team (18-2, 5-1 ACC) scored double digit runs for the fourth straight game, and 12 different players registered a hit in a 19-4 win over Mercer (14-9, 2-1 A-Sun) Wednesday night at Russ Chandler Stadium.

"We’ve had contributions from a lot of different guys," head coach Danny Hall said. "I think as a team we’ve swung the bat real well, which is a good sign. We’ve got [Jay] Dantzler down a little bit right now, and Brandon Thomas steps in there and has hit the ball real well for us. So that’s good to see."

#6 Florida State 14 Stetson 7

TALLAHASSEE, Fla.– Sixth-ranked Florida State (16-4) overcame some early defensive miscues to double-up Stetson (9-13) 14-7 Wednesday evening on Mike Martin Field inside Dick Howser Stadium. The Seminoles won their fifth in a row over the Hatters and ninth straight during regular season action.

"It was a disappointing start for us, a disappointing defensive night, but yet we persevered and that’s what this game is about," said head coach Mike Martin. "We hung in there and had a good ending so to speak when we get 5-3-2-3 in the fifth, sixth, seventh and eighth innings. That is certainly huge. We had some good at-bats and it was a good win for us."

High Point 11 Wake Forest 3

Freshman Zach Haile (Longwood, Fla./Lake Mary) pitched five scoreless innings to lead the High Point University baseball team to a 11-3 win over Atlantic Coast Conference opponent Wake Forest Wednesday at Williard Stadium. The HPU offense put up 11 runs on 14 hits off 14 different Wake Forest pitchers. Alex Wiesner got the start and the loss for the Demon Deacons and no pitcher went more than one inning.

“This was a really nice performance on the offensive end,” said head coach Craig Cozart. “We knew we would see at least nine different pitchers for Wake Forest so the challenge was that we wouldn’t get to see them a second time through the order. We set the tone early on the offensive side and pieced it together on the mound. Haile did a nice job with the start and now we get ready for the weekend.”
