BinghamtonLogo The Binghamton baseball program will be moving into a new stadium for the start of the 2012 season. The university announced recently that they will rebuild current Varsity Field by adding many different amenities. The new field will feature Synthetic Turf infield and outfield while adding stadium seating. There are a couple more highlights as they will also add professional style dugouts and lights.

Coach Tim Sinicki says the following about the new facility “This new facility will be a tremendous boost to our program. It will be one of the premier facilities in the region and give our student-athletes every opportunity to develop their skills and reach their full potential. The new facility is further evidence of the commitment our campus and athletics administration is making to the baseball program." You can check out some pictures of the facility by clicking here.

A northern school investing in its baseball program. I love it and wish them great success.

It will be good for the area too. Be able to host more State Playoff games and attract more ball players to BU!
