GREENSBORO, N.C. – This past week, ground was broken at the UNCG Baseball Stadium to make room for the brand new fieldhouse along the first base line.
The $2.3 million project is projected to be completed in Oct. 2010. The new fieldhouse will add to one of the best fields in the Southeast. The stadium has previously been named as one of the top-5 college stadiums in the nation.
The new 10,000 square foot facility will provide numerous uses for the program. The building will have a team locker room and players lounge, as well as a coaches locker room. It will also consist of a pair of batting cages for the players to use.
The field house will have an area for an equipment room and a training room as well.
