Cal-State Fullerton to hold Fall Series starting Today

TylerPillFullerton Fullerton, Calif. – Cal State Fullerton baseball Head Coach Dave Serrano would like to invite all friends, family and fans out to Goodwin Field this week to watch the 2010 baseball team as they compete in a best-of-three "championship series" to conclude the official fall workout period.

Each game will be a six-inning affair between the Orange squad, headed up by assistant coach Sergio Brown, and the Blue squad, led by assistant coach Gregg Wallis.

The first game will begin at noon on Veterans’ Day (Nov. 11) and will feature a pitching match-up of Dylan Floro (Orange) versus southpaw Kevin Rath (Blue). The Nov. 13 (3:00 p.m.) game will see a pair of All-Americans face off in Tyler Pill (Orange) andDaniel Renken (Blue). The series finale on Nov. 14 (11:45 a.m.) will showcase freshman All-American Noe Ramirez (Orange) up against Colin O’Connell.

The losing squad will he its work cut out for itself as they will be required to be the servers at the team Thanksgiving dinner on Nov. 19 as well as sing Christmas carols around campus sometime in December.

All games are free to the public, but campus parking fees do apply in lots A and G.
