Chance Veazey to go to Shepherd Center in Atlanta

ChanceVeazeyInjured I reported last week that Georgia freshman infielder Chance Veazey got into a motor vehicle accident on Wednesday evening. According to the Tifton Gazette, Veazey underwent surgery on his spine on Friday as he had no feeling below his waist. He will be getting moved later this week to the Shepherd Center in Atlanta Georgia to continue his rehab. His family has set up a website send notes to Chance which can be viewed by clicking here.

His family in lieu of flowers or food has set up a “Prayers for Chance” fund to help offset medical expenses through Athens First Bank and Trust Company (AFB&T). People interested in making a donation may send contributions to AFB&T, attention Phil Bettendorf, Senior Vice President, P.O. Box 1747, Athens, Ga., 30603 or they can drop it off at any Athens First Bank location.

The College Baseball Blog will like to wish Chance the best in his recovery and hopefully he can have a full recovery while getting his degree from UGA.
