The Register Citizen which serves Litchfield County Connecticut is reporting that the Peekskill Robins of the Atlantic Collegiate Baseball League is close to finalizing a deal to move the team to Torrington Connecticut. The team has played the last two seasons in Peekskill NY and the previous five seasons played in Stamford CT.

CBB Top 100 Countdown: Number 93 Aaron Meade (Missouri State)
The CBB continues our countdown for the 2010 College Baseball season by checking in on the Top 100 Players in the country. We will be providing one player per day until we reach number 1.
We continue the list today with number 93 in our countdown with Missouri State junior LHP Aaron Meade. He is a 6’2 175 pound left-handed pitcher out of Rockhurst High School and Kansas City, Missouri. His senior season saw him go 4-2 with a 2.25 ERA and win Rockhurst High School’s Pitcher of the Year award.

St. John’s to play Fall Series on Monday

QUEENS, N.Y. – To cap its fall season, the St. John’s baseball team will hold its Red-Gray Intrasquad World Series at Kaiser Stadium beginning at 1:30 p.m. on Oct. 19. The three-game set continues with games at 1:30 p.m. on Oct. 20 and 1:30 p.m. on Oct. 21. Batting practice will be held at 12:30 p.m. prior to each contest. The games are open to the public and admission is free.
Santa Clara starts practice on Monday

SANTA CLARA, Calif. - Santa Clara University’s baseball program has initiated its fall training, with a focus on skills development, strength and conditioning and individual instruction. The theme `commitment’ is being emphasized as the program prepares for its first official team practice Monday, October 19.
"We’re trying to get a number of things established this time of year," said ninth-year Santa Clara head baseball coach Mark O’Brien. "First and foremost is the commitment level. Equally important is the infrastructure; how we do things, how we run our offense, how we run our defense, almost establishing a team identity in a sense."

The CBB continues our countdown for the 2010 College Baseball season by checking in on the Top 100 Players in the country. We will be providing one player per day until we reach number 1.
We continue the list today with number 94 in our countdown with Auburn junior DH/Infielder Kevin Patterson. He is 6’4 233 pounds out of Oak Mountain High School and from Birmingham, Alabama. He had a career average in high school of .392 with 25 homers and 107 RBI. He was selected by the Chicago White Sox in the 24th round in the 2007 MLB Draft but decided to become a member of the Auburn Tiger baseball squad.

CORAL GABLES, Fla. - Head coach Jim Morris and associate head coach and recruiting coordinator J.D. Arteaga have officially announced the 2009 signing class for the University of Miami baseball team. Ranked as the No. 9 class nationally by Collegiate Baseball Newspaper, the 13-member class features six players who were taken in the 2009 Major League Baseball Draft and a total of 12 players that hail from the state of Florida.
