Harvard adds Kristaps Aldins to Coaching Staff

Aldins Kristaps Aldins was introduced as an assistant coach at Harvard by Joe Walsh. Aldins enters his first season at Harvard after completing four seasons on the bench at nearby Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).

At MIT, Aldins worked with the Engineers’ pitchers, catchers, and outfielders. Aldins was also responsible for all facets of a nationwide recruiting process. During his stint at MIT, the team compiled an overall record of 82-63 with a program-record 25 wins in 2008. In 2006 the Engineers advanced to the NEWMAC Championship Game for the first time in program history and earned a bid to the ECAC Tournament.

LSU starts Fall Practice on Tuesday

LSULockerRoom BATON ROUGE — The 2010 LSU baseball team takes the field for its first full-squad workout at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday as the defending national champions begin their five-week fall practice period in Alex Box Stadium.

The fall practice session, which concludes on November 20, will include several scrimmages that are open to the public.

CBB Top 100 Countdown: Number 100 Kyle Gaedele

Gaedele-WSU-19 The CBB starts the countdown for the 2010 College Baseball season by checking in on the Top 100 Players in the country. We will be providing one player per day until we reach number 1.

We start the list today with Valparaiso University sophomore Kyle Gaedele. He is a 6’4 220 pound outfielder out of Arlington Heights Illinois and from Rolling Meadows High School. He was a three year letterwinner in high school where he was selected in the 32nd round by the Tampa Bay Rays in 2008.

UNCW releases 2010 Schedule

UNCWSchedule WILMINGTON, N.C. - Matchups against longtime regional rivals East Carolina, N.C. State, Elon and Coastal Carolina highlight UNC Wilmington’s 2010 baseball schedule, according to 19th-year Seahawk skipper Mark Scalf.

"I think we have a solid schedule as we continue to try to play the best opposition we can," said Scalf. "We have a good mix of teams that will prepare us to reach our goals as a program this season."

LSU’s Chad Jones continues to star in Football and Baseball

ChadJones There is a huge football game today between the Florida Gators and the LSU Tigers. LSU’s Chad Jones is expected to make a huge impact on the game as he is the starting free safety and also spends time as a relief pitcher on the LSU staff. He has been already rated as one of the top safeties for the upcoming NFL draft and has started to got some nibbles from MLB teams as they were thoroughly impressed with his performance in the College World Series.

Texas Tech releases 2010 Slate

TexasTechStadium DAN SPENCER COMMENTS (VIDEO)

LUBBOCK, Texas – A total of 14 NCAA Regional teams from 2009 highlight Texas Tech’s 2010 baseball schedule that was announced today by second year head coach Dan Spencer.

A total of 54 games (maximum amount of 56 is allowed) are on the current schedule and Texas Tech will announce the addition of two more games once those details have been finalized.

SE Missouri State Fall Series Announced

South Florida takes part in “Walk a Mile in Her Shoes”

USFHeels I am always looking for interesting stories on college baseball teams and today I came across this interesting article about the South Florida baseball team which took part in the second annual “Walk a Mile in Her Shoes” event on campus recently.
