Kristaps Aldins was introduced as an assistant coach at Harvard by Joe Walsh. Aldins enters his first season at Harvard after completing four seasons on the bench at nearby Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).
At MIT, Aldins worked with the Engineers’ pitchers, catchers, and outfielders. Aldins was also responsible for all facets of a nationwide recruiting process. During his stint at MIT, the team compiled an overall record of 82-63 with a program-record 25 wins in 2008. In 2006 the Engineers advanced to the NEWMAC Championship Game for the first time in program history and earned a bid to the ECAC Tournament.
