Wake Forest to starts Fall Series on Sunday

MikeMurrayWake WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – The Wake Forest baseball team will close its 2009 fall practice with the Black & Gold World Series, which begins Sunday at Noon at Wake Forest Baseball Park.

All games of the series will be played at Wake Forest Baseball Park and are free and open to the public.

The series begins this Sunday with a game at 12 p.m. Game two of the series is slated for Friday, October 30, at 4 p.m., while game three will be played on Sunday, November 1, at Noon.

The series wraps up with a pair of games the following weekend. Game four is set for Saturday, November 7 at Noon, while the series wrap-up is Sunday, November 8, also at Noon.

Wake Forest returns 23 players from the 2009 team. The Deacs also feature nine freshmen on this year’s roster.

Game 1 – Sunday, October 25, Noon
Game 2 – Friday, October 30, 4 p.m.
Game 3 – Sunday, November 1, Noon
