Nevada to hold Silver and Blue Series on Friday

NevadaBaseball Reno, Nev. – The University of Nevada baseball team will conclude fall practice over the next week by playing its annual Silver & Blue Series at Peccole Park starting on Friday morning at 8:45 a.m.  The series is free and open to the public.  Next week’s games are set for Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and will conclude on Friday with first pitch slated for 8:45 a.m. each day.

The Wolf Pack are coming off a season in which they posted 25-31 overall record and went 10-13 in the Western Athletic Conference to finish fifth.  The Pack will once again be under the leadership of head coach Gary Powers who enters his 28th season at Nevada and reached the 800 win plateau last spring.  Powers is the longest tenured coach in the history of Nevada athletics
