SE Missouri State Fall Series Announced

SEMissouriState CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. – The Southeast Missouri State University baseball program will conclude fall workouts with its 16th Annual Steak and Beans Series. The best-of-five intrasquad series will begin Tuesday at Capaha Field. First pitch of the series is set for 5 p.m., CT.

Winners of the series will be treated to a steak dinner, while the losers will settle for beans.

Teams will be drafted by Redhawks coaches Chris Cafalone and David Lawson. Pitching coach Rick McCarty will work for both teams during the series. Rosters will be released Monday.

"This is a great way to wrap up the fall," said Southeast head coach Mark Hogan. "Our players really enjoy the competiton and it gives our staff time to evaluate our personnel in game simulation."

Steak and Beans Series Schedule
Game 1 – Tuesday, October 13, 5 p.m.
Game 2 – Friday, October 16, 6 p.m.
Game 3 – Saturday, October 17, Noon
Game 4 – Tuesday, October 20, 5 p.m.
Game 5 – Wednesday, October 21, 4 p.m.
