GopherBaseball The Star Tribune reports that the Minnesota Gophers will play the 2010 college baseball season in its entirety at the Metrodome. The reason behind this is the fact that a new baseball stadium is being built on the Minnesota campus. The Gophers will have full use of the Metrodome as the Minnesota Twins move to a new outdoor stadium next season.

The entire Minnesota Gophers 2010 schedule will be released in the near future.

It was going to be interesting to see the Golden Gophers schedule in the coming years as the Metrodome has always served as the cold weather home for them.

It would be nice to see them play every year at the Metrodome from here on out. How are they going to play home games in February in Minnesota? Not sure if the metrodome is being torn down or what. Hopefully the twins are building a retractable roof stadium or something like that.

The new Minnesota Twins stadium is an open air stadium and the MetroDome is still going to be the home of the Vikings so I don’t know how much longer they are going to allow baseball to be played there once the Twins leave.
