Kennesaw State enters the 2010 campaign as a full-fledged participant in Division I baseball. The Owls will have the opportunity to play in the Atlantic Sun Conference Tournament and earn a birth in the NCAA Baseball Tournament. In 2009, Kennesaw State compiled a 30-22 overall record and posted a very impressive 20-9 mark in Atlantic Sun play.
The Owls will open the season with a six game homestand. The Liberty Flames will visit Kennesaw February 19-21, followed by the Samford Bulldogs on February 26-28.
Kennesaw State then hits the road for a mid-week game at UAB before travelling to Knoxville for a tournament March 5-7. A split mid-week series with in-state foe Georgia precedes a weekend road trip to Southern Utah March 12-13. The Owls will then return home for two mid-week games against Georgia Southern and Georgia State before starting conference play on the road at Campbell March 19-20.
The Owls then travel to Florida Gulf Coast on March 26-27 for an Atlantic Sun series after a home mid-week game against UAB and a road contest at Georgia State. The Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets visit Kennesaw for a single game on March 31, followed by the home conference opener against Belmont April 2-3.
KSU then hits the road for a mid-week game at Georgia Southern and a conference series at Lipscomb April 9-10. Jacksonville State then travels to Kennesaw for a non-conference game before the Owls welcome conference foe North Florida for a weekend series April 16-17. The Owls follow with a return trip to Jacksonville State for a mid-week game, then resume conference play at home against James Madison on April 23 and 24.
Kennesaw State then makes a quick road trip to Atlanta to take on Georgia Tech in mid-week action before battling Mercer at home on April 30 and May 1. Two conference road trips follow, with the Owls heading to Jacksonville on May 7-8 and USC-Upstate on May 14-15. The Owls then round out the schedule with a mid-week contest at Troy and the conference finale at home against East Tennessee State May 20-21.
The 2010 Atlantic Sun Tournament will be held May 26-29 in Nashville, Tennessee.
