Blake Dean of LSU has made his decision to return next season to the squad. Dean was a 10th round selection by the Minnesota Twins this past season after hitting .328 with 17 homers and 71 RBI. He will be undergoing surgery next Wednesday on his left shoulder to correct instability in that arm. Dean is expected to be ready for Fall Workouts in late October.

This is great news for the LSU Tigers as Dean will be slotted into the cleanup spot at the start of next season. He was named to the 2009 All-SEC team but was not able to get onto All-American teams like he did in the 2008 season.
