I’m really surprised at how well Jon functions after less than 3 months after the accident. It’s really a testament to his physical condition, youth, and as the firefighter said ‘it wasn’t his time’. My late husband suffered a c3/c4 spinal chord injury and it took him months longer to learn to eat, walk, and do basic functions.

Jon has a long road ahead of him. The father said Jon had only one bad day, the day he visited Nick’s memorial, but I know that’s not true. Even if he doesn’t show it, there is depression present once he realizes that life will never quite be the same. And every day he will have pain. The good thing is he is surrounded by family and he has a positive attitude. May he continue to find the strength he needs to live each day. Best wishes to him.

AlohaBall, I suggest you tune FSN West tonight after the Angel game. They will be going over his rehab process, so you can check out how he is progressing on there.

And for anyone else, if you want to help with Jon’s rehab process, you can donate directly at any Wells Fargo to account #3980643658.

Jon Wilhite and Henry Pearson were regular readers of this site as they were members of the facebook page. We all hope he has a full recovery!
