Interesting Game in the NECBL on Friday

necblThe Vermont Mountaineers and the Pittsfield American Defenders played a very interesting NECBL game on Friday night. The game featured a near protest, a sun delay, and an eventual suspension of the game due to lighting in the area. The reason for the sun delay is the fact that Wahconah Park in Pittsfield MA has the stadium facing towards the west with the sun setting in center field thus getting in the batters eyes. The near protest was over Pittsfield using a player not listed as a substitute on the lineup card at the beginning of the game which Vermont questioned on multiple occasions. Special thanks to Michael Radomski of Pittsfield American Defenders Media Relations for bringing the article to my attention.
