2009 MLB Draft Profile: Alex White (UNC)

Alex White is a 6-3 200 pound right handed pitcher out of the University of North Carolina. He entered the season as the second or third best right handed college pitcher. He had an up and down season as he went 8-4 with a 4.13 ERA in 15 starts. He ended up striking out 109 batters in his 98 innings of work.

White throws from a 3/4 arm slot and sorts of slings the ball to the plate as you can tell in the video that I took of him during a recent game. I would be surprised if White was not selected in the Top 20 selections in the 2009 MLB Draft but you never know what could happen.
