#5 Arizona St. was dealt a crushing blow when they received news that Jr. LHP Josh Spence is likely to miss the rest of the season with a strained tendon in his pitching hand. 2009 NCAA Division 3 Tournament Bracket

The NCAA Division III Baseball Committee has announced the 54 teams that will compete in the 2009 NCAA Division III Baseball Championship.
Six teams will compete at five first-round sites; eight teams will compete at three first-round sites. All first rounds will use a double-elimination format. Thirty-five conference champions qualified automatically.
Winners of the eight first-round tournaments will qualify for the double-elimination championship at Fox Cities Stadium in Appleton, Wisconsin, May 22-26. Read the rest of this entry »
2009 NCAA Division 2 Bracket

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The NCAA Division II Baseball Committee has selected the 48 teams that will participate in the 2009 NCAA Division II Baseball Championship.
The championship provides for eight regional sites – six sites will host six teams, the West region will host four teams and the South region will host eight teams. All regionals are double-elimination tournaments and will be played at on-campus sites May 14-18. Regional champions will advance to the double-elimination championship finals May 23-30 at the USA Baseball National Training Complex in Cary, North Carolina. AUSTIN, Texas — The No. 8 Texas Longhorns took advantage defensive lapses by the No. 14 Texas A&M Aggies in the first inning to score five runs and hung on for a 5-4 win in the rubber match of the State Farm Lone Star Showdown at UFCU Disch-Falk Field on Sunday afternoon.
The UT victory coupled with a loss by Oklahoma in the Bedlam Series against Oklahoma State gave the Horns their fifth Big 12 regular-season title and the third in the last four years.
