MANSFIELD Conn.- Powerful Southern Maine and sophomore Mike Eaton took a while to wake out of their slumber, but when they did, the Huskies walked off winners in the opening round on the New England Regional.

NCAA Regional Projections (May 14th)
This week’s regional projections from The College Baseball Blog have a new team in the top national seed spot. The LSU Tigers take over the number one national seed. The Tigers are currently the leaders in the SEC and have won eight of their last ten games.

SEC Weekend Preview (May 14-16th)
The SEC ends the regular season this weekend with each squad in conference play. Seven squads have booked a spot in the SEC Tournament with Kentucky and Vanderbilt battling for the eighth spot. ACC Weekend Preview (May 14th-16th)

We enter the final weekend of ACC play with four squads fighting it out for the last two spots in the conference tournament. Boston College and Duke are currently in the drivers seats for the final two spots as each of them would have to get swept over the weekend for either NC State or Virginia Tech to make the tournament. The final weekend sees five ACC series while Florida State steps out of conference with a series against Grambling State. The North Carolina Tar Heels make their second trip to Boston College in a key series for the Eagles. Georgia Tech heads to Duke which is key for both squads as the Yellow Jackets are trying to hold off the North Carolina Tar Heels for the Coastal Division title. The battle of Virginia takes place this weekend in Blacksburg with Virginia Tech hosting the Virginia Cavaliers. D3 Regional: Babson knocks off top seeded Eastern Connecticut
MANSFIELD CONN.- While the first NCAA regional game between WPI and Suffolk went down to the wire, the second game of the day between Babson and Eastern Connecticut was decided early thanks to a barrage of hits by the Beavers and a 158 pitch, ten strikeout complete game by sophomore Andrew Aizenhadt.
Eighth seeded Babson took a 2-0 lead in the first but blew the game open in the second with seven runs against the top seeded Warriors and held on for a 10-6 win. Read the rest of this entry »
ACC awards 2011-2013 Baseball Tourney to Myrtle Beach

According to several published reports, the ACC has awarded the 2011, 2012, and 2013 Baseball Championships to the city of Myrtle Beach. D3 Regionals: WPI Rallies to beat Suffolk
MANSFIELD CONN.- The opening game of the Division III New England regional began with a dominating pitching performance by WPI senior Conor Fahey that appeared to put the Engineers in line for an easy win. NCBWA/D3baseball.com poll week 12 – Final Regular Season Poll

MINNEAPOLIS – The D3baseball.com/National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association Top 25 media poll was released just before the start of the NCAA Division III tournament and Salisbury University moved up one spot to No. 2. The Sea Gulls (37-6) garnered three first-place votes and 575 total points.

NCAA Division 3 Tournament set to begin
The first day of action in the Division 3 NCAA Tournament begins today at 10 am (eastern) with three regionals in action. The New England Regional features Worcester Poly Tech facing Suffolk hosted by Eastern Connecticut State. The South Regional will kick off at the same time with Washington and Jefferson playing Christopher Newport in Salisbury MD while the NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regional begins with New Jersey taking on Penn State-Behrend. The entire New England Regional will be webcasted for free by the host school (CLICK HERE) and some of the other regionals might be have video/audio but all will have live stats.
