Stidham recorded multiple hits and multiple runs in all three games against the Hokies while reaching base on 12 of his 15 plate appearances. Stidham was also perfect from the field in 18 total chances during the Virginia Tech series and was part of history in Sunday’s series finale as he made the third put-out at second base on a third-inning triple play. It marked FSU’s first triple play since 1997.

Boston College’s Dean pitched seven innings of shutout baseball to lead the Eagles to a 13-3 win against No. 13 Miami in the series finale on Sunday. Dean allowed just four hits and one walk as the Eagles recorded their first-ever win vs. the Hurricanes.

Dean, a sophomore from Naugatuck, Conn., struck out seven on the day to improve his record to 5-3. He retired nine of the first 10 batters he faced and only two runners reached second base while he was on the mound.
