As the fifth week of SEC play begins, the Arkansas Razorbacks find themselves atop the standings with an impressive 10-2 conference record.  The Vanderbilt Commodores, coming off a two games to one series victory over Florida last weekend, look to give Arkansas a home test.  LSU, tied for second place in the SEC West, travels to Alabama to take on the Crimson Tide.  The Florida Gators sit at 7-5 in league play and just one game behind SEC East leader Georgia, and they will be travelling to Auburn to take on the Tigers.  Georgia, currently 8-4 in SEC play, looks to extend their one game division lead when they visit Kentucky in an Eastern Division showdown.  Read the rest of this entry »

Big 12 Weekend Preview Part 2 (April 10-12)

Week 5 of the Big 12 Conference Season is upon us, and no team has yet to separate itself above and beyond the rest of the conference. As of today, only 4 of the 10 teams have winning conference records, with 2 more teams sitting on .500. Oklahoma has climbed to the top for now, but faces a Texas Tech team that has already picked up wins in Waco and Austin. Oklahoma State must travel to Lawrence, Kansas, where the Jayhawks have already swept the Texas Longhorns this season. Missouri, a team that has produced well below its expectations, must venture into Baylor Ballpark to take on the Baylor Bears in Waco, Texas. With both Thursday-Saturday series postponed due to weather, Friday should provide enough baseball to satisfy all the Big 12 fans.

His vechicle was hit by a suspected drunk driver which killed Nick Adenhart, Courtney Stewart, and Harry Pearson. The fourth person in the vehicle in Jon Wilhite who is currently in ICU but conscious. Wilhite played baseball for Cal-State Fullerton from 2004-2008. The reason I bring this to your attention is that Pearson and Wilhite are listed as members of our website’s Facebook group so they must have been fans of the site. Read the rest of this entry »
